Sol is a new netlabel to me this one, but on the strength of this release by From The Mirror I’ll be delving into their back catalogue, which is currently standing at a not too shabby 30 releases.

Presented on this release we’ve got heads down dark and hypnotic crunchy techno on “Acrobats“; twisted experimentalism techno on “Eat a Chicken“; big kick lock down vibes, with razor’d and distorted hihats on “Cook a Chicken” and finishing with the hard and and housey synth led beast that is “OVX“.

Not entirely sure how a chicken fits into this fine darkfloor techno, but I’m not complaining. I’ll be packing this EP for a while I reckon. Check it out, and see what you think.
