Sturqen – Foradius

The Portuguese duo Sturqen (who we showcased last year) recently constructed Foradius a brilliant 18 minute session for the Chicago based experimental radio show Radius.

César Rodrigues and David Arantes of Sturqen worked independently of each other using Portuguese radio transmissions as source material. The fragmented radio clips were then digitally processed and joined together to create the 18-minute composition.

Their music explores a vast amount of sonic rhythmics where a techno-trance universe is combined with a constant noise attitude.

Foradius was created specifically for broadcast on Radius. The two members of Sturqen worked independently of each other using Portuguese radio transmissions as source material. The fragmented radio clips were then digitally processed and joined together to create the 18-minute composition.
