Our show today is a special one, focusing on the music of Mark William Wainwright, the English producer and musician known professionally as William Orbit, who last month, July 23rd, died at the age of 69.

Born in Shoreditch in December 1959, the oldest of 3 sons, to schoolteachers, Orbit has left an undeniable impact on music with a career that spanned 4 decades.

You’ll hear some of my favourites alongside just some of the wonderful music he wrote, produced, or performed. Obviously Madonna features, but there is so much more.

It’s bittersweet to pull together a show like this, for a loved artist. But Orbit’s music and work will live on, as he left it with us to enjoy.
