Featured Guest

In session, none other than Christoph de Babalon.

The German producer made a name for himself in the 90s with his heavy and harsh sonics. Melding industrial to jungle, breakcore and dark ambient. His music is confrontational and fierce. A trait he’s continued throughout his entire career, releasing over 10 albums, and countless EPs, refining his sonically arresting, dense and ferocious sound.

His 1997 LP If You’re Into It, I’m Out Of It, released through Alec Empire’s Digital Hardcore Recordings has been described by Thom Yorke as the most menacing record he owns. And it is entirely justified. A tour-de-force record.

In May this year Babalon released Split, a split EP funnily enough between himself and Mark on Australia’s A Colourful Storm. And in September, also through the record label A Colourful Storm, the EP Recurring Horrors. A deep dive into his archives with 7 tracks recorded between 93 and 1998, including the breakcore epic, No Man’s Land.
