Featured Guest
Our guest today is a returning one. First featured in 2019 on show 289 we still don’t know much behind about the producer behind the sound that is Crystal Cage.
Based in Finland, their music has evolved over the years since their first appearance on our show into much more of a blackgaze sound. A hybrid taking in black metal, shoegaze, and industrial synth. Deeply shadow in tone, with to Mike’s ears at least, folkish elements. Their sound is very much their own. And one we’re very happy to have back on the show.
Everything you’ll hear in their 43 minute session is their own material, the first half of which are collaborations with American musician and synthist death of codes (Meggie Wilhoite, D Pillar Records).
