the Darkfloor Daily 2013-10-08

Fancy a 3 hour set from Hieroglyphic Being? Characteristically oddball and leftfield selections from the one and only Jamal Moss – there is noone who sounds and DJs like this guy. His sets zig zag between crushed dubtech, house, electro, techno and funk, plus a whole other bunch of places.

The Quietus interview James Ginzburg (Emptyset / Multiverse boss) about his solo album Faint Wild Light – which our man Laica reviewed recently for Darkfloor.

High grade dark ambience specialists Cryo Chamber have a new one out – Aseptic Void’s Psychosis.

The Italian producer makes his debut for the Swedish imprint with his black ambient soundscape noise – also worth checking out is his soundtrack for indie horror game Slender Woods from last year.

Audio Assault and MORD’s Radial drops a mix for seesicksound – no tracklist but expect Jeroen Liebregt’s usual sharp attention to detail on the at times tribal and even funky techno grooves within.

It’s been a while since we’ve heard from the Lawgiverz – as it happens I came across this mix recently recorded for Lunarcast back in May. Recorded by by Paul Holroyde AKA RKidz – who with longtime production/DJ partner Noize form the legendary Lawgiverz.

Release wise the duo had been quiet since 2008 until Growla appeared back in August. Quintessentially Lawgiverz in fine form Growla adds to the small but tidy discography of the former Trigger residents. His Lunarcast mix is packed with some fantastic electro breaks from the likes of Radioactive Man, Silicon Scally, Trevino, Sync 24, Astro Duo and even some unreleased Lawgiverz in the form of Pleats.

Current 93 has announced a new album I Am The Last Of All The Field That Fell – though don’t expect it before February 8th, 2014. via FACT.
