Dangerously hypnotic and arrestingly sharp, the video for Nonima and Stormfield’s collab track Point Clouds makes quite the impact. Produced by Bristol’s disco_r.dance it’s not often that the video, even abstract ones, fit the track as perfectly as this one does.

The track is taken from the Kilmarnock/London duo’s Stratosphere EP, due next week, June 23rd, on Stormfield’s Combat Recordings. The eager amongst you can pre-order the EP via the label’s Bandcamp.

Stratosphere EP is a five track acid heavy collection that the pair have themed around technology and nature’s often fierce lightning storms. Stormfield has of late been exploring more of a deeper acidic electro in addition to his Sea of Scald project (a noise/drone/violin collaboration with classical violinist Aimee Mullen). It’s the former that fits Nonima’s well on their joint EP.
