Welcome to the future. For the first episode of the year, I’m playing some of my favourites from the year that was.

All gold. From the beautiful ambience of Brendon Moeller, NoRinTon & Atmøsphäre, and Fracture, into the dirge drive of Interdimensional Drifters, downtempo electro of Two Lone Swordsmen, and dub of Linval Thompson. There’s jazzy flavours, cosmic space psych, oddball pop, and for the final section of the show, a selection of club friendly percussion cuts from the likes of Batu, Radioactive Man, Fjaak, K-Lone, Skee Mask, Objekt, clipping., Brain Rays, and Schnallo. Beginning with the gorgeous version by The Knocks and Perfume Genius of Bronski Beat’s Smalltown Boy.
