Episode 115
April 2, 2026
We start in Nigera with the 80s dub of Mac Dessy Adult, before heading to Honolulu to share the sound of Brother Noland. Hear the dub tech of French producer Vardae, and the downtempo shimmer of NYC’s Anthony Naples.
You’ve a random find of mine, by German psych stoners Colour Haze. A classic Cure track. And a brand new one from GONG.
I play a listener pick by Mott The Hoople. Nottingham Punk band No Peeling. And a brand new track from French group Slift.
Objekt comes out of remix hiatus with his first in over a decade, remixing AD93’s james K. You’ve Italian Italo Disco courtesy of Mr. Flagio. The one and only Phil Collins. And naturally following Mr Collins, Mr Funk, Mr Aaron Funk. AKA Venetian Snares.
I switch it up with a bubbly house number from Shanti Celeste, all before playing the opening track of Speedy J’s brand new record due next month. Out this week, Arlo Park’s 3rd LP. I play a great track from it.
LA trio Failure are back after an extended hiatus. I play the first single from their forthcoming longplayer Location Lost.
Approaching the end of today’s transmission, Beninese ensemble T.P. Orchestre Poly-Rythmo and a track from the mid 70s, taken from a forthcoming compilation of their voodoo funk. Mr Al Green. And seeing you out, a banger from Underworld.
Have a great weekend, muchlove from me, to you.

Each week Mx Darkfloor soundtracks your morning, setting you up for the day. Drawing on many styles and genres. From deep drone, ambient, and dub, through to jazz, grunge, jungle, and breaks. There’s side quests into downtempo, trip-hop, and hip-hop. As well as approachable experimental sound, African rhythms, and Asian beats. To folk, no wave, shoegaze, psych, and fuzzy sludge.
The takeaway is you never know what they’ll play, but it’ll be day friendly, good music.
