With music from Grand River, Blendreed, and Babe Roots starting us off in the deep bliss, we move through into classic Boards of Canada, some Australian dub, the ska sounds of Byron Lee and The Dragonaires, into the early 70s dub of one of the greats – Augustus Pablo.

Switching gears into some 90s hip-hop from the Gravediggaz and Nas we roll through the blues of Glenn Schwartz into the piano perfection of Bill Evans. From Trinidad’s Steel Drummers to the Latin drum flavours of Cal Tjader, and jazz flexing of the LA based group High Pulp.

We revisit the 1997 indie sound of Mansun before slipping into a few beats from the likes of L.D.F., Javonntte, and Hybrid. Whose latest track is nothing short of incredible. Then, Mary J. Blige, and 2x 1996 techsteppers before switching it up again into the heavy riffs of Deftones, arriving to finish, at Speedy J.

January 23 is Speedy J day. A day decided as such by myself, my good friend Stacie, and our dearest friend, who sadly died in 2023 – Mark.
