Vacu Sessions 18 – sanmi

Following up where Darren McClure and the 17th mix for the series left off, comes the 18th from sanmi. As with most of the musicians supplying mixes to the ongoing Vacu Sessions, it’s another name that is new to these ears. Certainly this mix series is quite the place for discovery. As ever the sounds are electronic, often abstract, experimental and expressive.

sanmi is described as an experimental unit since 1998 and is the work of Kyo Yanagi based out of Kumagaya in Japan. samni has a few EPs worth of material available from netlabels Black Square and Subwize. You can also grab the April 2011 released: Y:E:T.
