Ingen’s mix for Phuturelabs
I’m sure some of you have clocked this mix already, but if you missed it it’s your lucky day.
Ingen (with fellow Scot Savier) features all over our next Darkfloor Sound EP Practically Educated as Savagen. His mix (below) for Phuturelabs not only contains some of the EP within it, but is filled with just the kind of dark, heavy technoid paranoia you and I love.
Edinburgh-based producer and DJ Ingen’s brand of techno and dark electronica has long been a firm favourite around these parts and his material for labels such as Digital Distortions and Tribal Waves has always found a way into our playlists.
The past few years have seen his reputation for quality reach far across the UK and his live performances and DJ sets have been sought after at the more discerning clubs and festivals. His latest outing sees him team up with Noiz for an EP of moody techno meanderings for Combat Recordings and it’s undoubtedly some of his finest work to date and sure to help his name reach even more welcoming ears and has already picked up support from Surgeon and more.
The Rituals EP lands on the 12th of May and can be pre-ordered over at Juno.
There’s also a collaborative 12″ with Savier as Savagen for Darkfloor in May and to give you a taster of his sound, he’s kindly delivered this brilliant guest mix.
There’s a whole host of his own forthcoming material alongside beats and bobs from the likes of Kamikaze Space Programme and it’s a techno-fuelled delight for the lugs.
