Tonight it’s the final Coppé gig for her NULL+VOID tour at Camden’s Proud where the Japanese electronica first lady will be performing alongside Kettel, HK119 and DJ support from Mixmaster Morris. Tickets.
Ahead of Monolog’s new album 2 Dots Left, which drops October 21st on Darkfloor fave Ad Noiseam – here’s a 33 minute introduction –
This mix features mostly material from the “2 Dots Left” album, as well as a number of yet-untitled new tracks. It gives everybody an idea of how intense, cold, complex and hard Monolog’s new album (and his live shows) is.
Plaster, who are fast becoming a favourite around these parts, mixes the latest for the Kana Broadcast mix series. No tracklist but it features some fantastic techno/electro/IDM which if you’ve heard their recent releases on Stroboscopic Artefacts & Touchin’ Bass you’ll be very interested. Kana also interviewed the duo of Gianclaudio Hashem Moniri and Giuseppe.
Released today on vinyl (digital follows on the 30th) is the latest from Sunil Sharpe’s Earwiggle label – dualit – German producers Mascon and Oliver Rosemann. Featuring a fantastic remix from hot stuff Bleaching Agent and a locked groove per side – this is rough round the edges hard techno fun. Check it.
Our favourite Romanian electro glitch artist Sorin Paun has a new remix released under his Randomform alias. He’s remoulded BLN’s track Prdss into his trademark crisp, sharp IDM electroid. The remix is part of Moldern, a 10 original, 13 remixes release from fellow Bucharest based sound artist Victor Popescu. Remixers include Plaid, Architect, Roel Funken and r.roo. BLN’s original work is high quality, detailed, melody enriched electronica.
Finland’s Juho Kusti supplies the new mix for PoleGroup’s radio series – featuring tracks from Inigo Kennedy, Ventress, Terrence Dixon, Steve Stoll, Shifted, Rich (Orphx) Oddie and Charlton. An always reliable series for techno heads – grab the mix here.
Brian Gibbs seems to be resurrecting his Gunjack techno work as new tracks are upped to his SoundCloud. Gunjack had quite the rep and catalogue over the past decade and a bit. His work on his own CONSUME label particularly brutal and untouchable – up there with Vex’d in my opinion.
Whilst these new tracks aren’t as industrially intense as Bruckshut’s Revenge was it marks a welcome return.
He’s not exactly been slack since he hung up the techno mitts though – he’s been recording as Echo Park, a well loved funk persona championed by Skream who released Gibbs’ Can’t Help It album last year on his own Disfigured Dubz imprint.
Bezdan is the experimental ambient/drone duo of Boris Noiz (Ontal) and Damir (Nebo Je Crveno, Butcher). Released back in February and available for free download, Studio 11 Session is a 5 EP taken from an improvisation session the duo performed in December 2012.
And finally today, shameless perhaps, but here’s Perc dropping Ontal’s slaying Disorientation track back in February. We’ve a only a few copies left – which are available direct from our label shop. There ain’t gonna be no repress.
