Death Abyss unleash free EP ‘Above you looking down’

It’s no secret that we’re huge fans of Death Abyss here at the Darkfloor hive. We invited them onto Mantis Radio early in 2012 where they unleashed a powerful live recording and their tracks prop up my sets frequently.

Each time new tracks surface they continue to impress with their pitch black take on techno. Recent Rodz Konez EP We Do As We Please another sizeable weapon in their arsenal.

Together with the Birmingham imprint Rodz Konez (home to their album and singles) “they” have let loose a free two track offering to the full moon this weekend, which happened to be what weather fans call a Supermoon:

…the coincidence of a full moon or a new moon with the closest approach the Moon makes to the Earth on its elliptical orbit, resulting in the largest apparent size of the moon’s disk as seen from Earth.

Their transmission, found on their suitably anonymous newly discovered Tumblr, reads as follows:

The full moon has crossed with white sunday.

A great ritual has ended in success and debauchery.

We celebrated with music.

As the music aided us so well, we release it here

for free

for those who overstand.

I don’t know how long this release will stay online, or what next to expect from the shadowy operations of the DA. Suffice to say you’re gonna want to download this one right now.

For starters
Unless these weeds are dealt with
They’ll poison everything
They are poisoning everything
We need a gardener
A brutal gardener
A thorough, thoughtful gardener
An iron gardener..
