Headnoaks – MSIA034 / Militant Science

by on September 07, 2011 in Netaudio

Straight for the jugular goes this new EP from the Militant Science imprint. Despite changing to a netlabel some months back Paul Blackford continues to sign and release high grade electro bass sound and Bossman by Headnoaks is just that. Coming in with 3 remixes by the label ‘bossman’ Paul Blackford, and producers Screwtec and Deputy.

The original and Blackford remix slam across the speakers at that fast 155/160bpm range Militant Science excel at showcasing. Headnoaks goes for the sparkling tweaks whilst Blackford unleashes his trademark groovy bass stabs. Screwtec’s remix is still pacey, thou stripped back a bit and with the acid lead sitting more prominently. Fourth of the 4 tracks is from Deputy and their Outta Space remix. I’m not sure if this is pseudonym for either Headnoaks or someone else from the label, what I am confident of is the beautiful vibe given off from the track. Slowed down and allowed to blossom into a shimmering electro piece that pitches itself perfectly as a long lost classic.

The release is available for free as 320kbps MP3 thou we at Darkfloor do recommended you support Militant Science and get the release at a lossless quality direct from the label.
