Darkfloor Sound’s 5th EP is coming in April
Yes. Finally I hear some of cry, a new Darkfloor Sound release is coming. Here’s the skinny on that, and if you haven’t already it, you can preview the EP below.
This April, Darkfloor Sound present their first multi artist EP, introducing 5 new artists to our family.
From Essex and London, via Rotterdam to Novi Sad, Serbia and Prnjavor, Bosnia – Mechanistic Overlap is a four part sharp slab of sound
The glitch’d razors of Vacated’s RM2 meets the rumbling, toughened heady rumbler of Lag + Forest People’s The Anvil. On the flip, Matt TDK’s Industry, a blackened wall of atmospheric paranoia and hammers; sits in contrast to the Brixton meets Brum steel drums of I Like You Least of All by newcomer Ruins.
Mechanistic Overlap adds to a catalogue of deep electro, rhythmic industrial, dark Spanish tribal tech and fractured glitch technoid.
SUPPORT
The EP has been getting support from Objekt, Truss, Coefficient, Ancient Methods, Brendon Moeller and OAKE.
Pre-orders via our Bandcamp will be made available this week.
We’ll also do a separate post about this, but on April 10th, we’re having a little in-store launch at Peckham’s Rye Wax record shop. (Facebook / Resident Advisor)
