Yuri Urano guests on NTS 1 tonight, Friday, February 3rd.

Based out of Osaka, Japan, Yuri joins host local host Akito for his monthly show on the much lauded radio station.

As fans of her work – she has twice guested on Mantis Radio (ep 229, ep 239) and released music through our label Darkfloor Sound – we are very much looking forward to her set tonight.

Those of you in the UK can catch it 9pm GMT. If you’re listening in from Japan, you’ll need to be up early as it airs locally at 6am, JST, Saturday morning.

Earlier today Yuri  released a new 3 track EP, entitled simply Melodic Release, through her Bandcamp. Beautiful, delicate, gentile sound using the recordings she regularly makes on her travels. In a circle of completion – NTS’ Akito has created the cover for this EP, a painting inspired by her music.

Episode 239: Yullippe returns to Mantis Radio to present an influences mix. Either side of that music from Killawatt, Biogen, Clock DVA, EOD, Rory St John, Coefficient, Vatican Shadow, Napalm Death and a certain band from Braintree, Essex.
