Episode 105
January 22, 2026
We ease in with the blissful sonics of Jonny Nash, Kara-lis Coverdale, and a Brazilian jazz interpretation of Tchaikovsky. You’ve the likes of Grateful Dead, Ry X, and Nala Sinephro. Brand new Apparat. 20 year old vintage Burial. B sides from Radiohead and Blur. Brand new Mandy, Indiana, 9 Lazy 9, and Ben Solomon. As as well as the Simon Armitage featuring trio Lyr, and, the housey bangs of Fcukers, with a track from their forthcoming album.
There’s latin jazz from the early 80s via Azymuth. A cut from Natalie Imbruglia’s debut record. The smooth, borderline cheesy electro funk disco of Alabama’s R’n’B group The Controllers. Aphex Twin’s Richard D James serving as The Tuss. And listener pick The Black Heart Procession. Without forgetting to mention the mid 70s soul jazz groove of Grover Washington, Jr. And, Goldie’s Rufige Kru getting the remix treatment from Phase.
Before closing with an early 2000s New Order classic.
That’s it your show. Hope you enjoy. Have a wonderful day.

Each week Mx Darkfloor soundtracks your morning, setting you up for the day. Drawing on many styles and genres. From deep drone, ambient, and dub, through to jazz, grunge, jungle, and breaks. There’s side quests into downtempo, trip-hop, and hip-hop. As well as approachable experimental sound, African rhythms, and Asian beats. To folk, no wave, shoegaze, psych, and fuzzy sludge.
The takeaway is you never know what they’ll play, but it’ll be day friendly, good music.
