Description

Savier‘s debut proper for Darkfloor Sound – The Fountain of Perpetual Decrepitude – is an eight shard doomtronic assault that showcases his particular take on industrial sludge, heavy mood weight, and murky step sonics. Available on cassette and digital formats, including these 7 remixes.

Providing their impressive skills on the remix tip we have versions from Submechanical (Cloaks). Acre Recordings’ C Mantle under his twisted beats guise Opine Kosinsky. The dark soundscape master Herd. Slowfoot and Projekt’s percussion maestro Robert Logan. Cinematic industrialist Metalogue. Bombardier’s ambient industrial 5th of July project. And our own duo, A Vengeance. Each compliment and disrupt Savier’s original material to stunning effect.

Savier first appeared on our label in 2014 as one half of Savagen with the EP Practically Educated. In 2016 he was one of 3 artists invited to remix AalephMild Maynyrd‘s commentary on US social ills.

David Meiser - Inigo Kennedy (Token, Rodz Konez, Stroboscopic Artefacts) "DRKFLR003 sounds great! Like A1 and A2 the most I think. Will give them a blast at the weekend!" Coefficient (Duality, Labrynth, M_REC) "Really like the B side tracks on this release. 'Know Your Root's reminds me of some early Oliver Ho releases on Meta. 'Transcending Your Fears' is also nicely dark. Full support!" Dare&Haste (Pareto Park, Trust) "Soviet Rules is the perfect example of why Meiser is one of my favourite producers. Twisted, dark, intelligent & hard as nails. The relentless synth work & punishing drum work is right up my street. Coupled with the speech samples I'm totally sold. More!!!" George Lanham (Engineroom, Pareto Park, The Public Stand) "These are great tracks, proper techno." Objekt (PAN, Leisure System, Hessle Audio) "it's a solid release but a bit too main-room warehousey for me if i'm honest."
