Those Who Still Remain

A1. David Meiser – Addiction to Darkness
A2. David Meiser – Soviet Rules
B1. David Meiser – Know Your Roots
B2. David Meiser – Transcending Your Fears

Darkfloor Sound's third release comes from David Meiser. Hailing from Zaragoza in northeastern Spain, Meiser's style of techno is dark, verging on the paranoid.

We pressed 300, each comes with an embossed, numbered and autographed card inlay.

'Addiction to Darkness' – is huge. It's the slayer. Nothing sounds quite like this. Those acid lines, the atmospherics. Early support from Dave Clarke, Blackasteroid, and Inigo Kennedy.

'Soviet Rules' hooks you in – militaristic in build and drive – that bell is haunting.

On the flip we've Meiser's take on tribal with 'Know Your Roots' and its hypnotic percussion.

Finally we have 'Transcending Your Fears' – an eerie, stripped cut. Perhaps the bleakest offering on the EP.

All told, this is some of the best techno Meiser has recorded.

David Meiser – Inigo Kennedy (Token, Rodz Konez, Stroboscopic Artefacts)
“DRKFLR003 sounds great! Like A1 and A2 the most I think. Will give them a blast at the weekend!”

Coefficient (Duality, Labrynth, M_REC)
“Really like the B side tracks on this release. ‘Know Your Root’s reminds me of some early Oliver Ho releases on Meta. ‘Transcending Your Fears’ is also nicely dark. Full support!”

Dare&Haste (Pareto Park, Trust)
“Soviet Rules is the perfect example of why Meiser is one of my favourite producers. Twisted, dark, intelligent & hard as nails. The relentless synth work & punishing drum work is right up my street. Coupled with the speech samples I’m totally sold. More!!!”

George Lanham (Engineroom, Pareto Park, The Public Stand)
“These are great tracks, proper techno.”

Objekt (PAN, Leisure System, Hessle Audio)
“it’s a solid release but a bit too main-room warehousey for me if i’m honest.”
