Coming up this week, not 1, but 2 showcase guest mixes from producers Datacrashrobot and Logical Disorder. Both have a slew of releases, both with a sizeable back catalogue of netlabel pieces. For our 55th show we’ve got an electro and IDM show down of forward thinking electronica.
SHOWCASE MIX 1// Datacrashrobot is the electro/experimental project of one Sorin Paun. In early 2008, influenced by the classic electro sound, he started producing tracks which he describes as
following a journey into the cold, mechanical, information overloaded mind of robots. The beat is drowned in dark ambiance or broken and twisted, overloaded with effects and glitches creating a state of malfunction and collapse.
SHOWCASE MIX 2// Logical Disorder is the name of the therapy that Javier Barrero use to balance his sinusoidal sense of duty. He develops his sounds focusing on ambient and post industrialism, remembering as he puts it
pop phrases and sometimes epic funeral melodies.
If you like the music you’ve heard from us and our showcased artists, then please let us and them know (leave a comment on that shows archive page) and of course support the artists by buying their music and seeing them perform.

MANTISis the radio show pushing this sound collection. It started in 2007 on Brap FM. Currently the show is broadcast fortnightly on southwestunderground radio (SWU). The show pushes unsigned talent alongside established and upcoming producers. It also plays alongside commercially available sound, that of the ever growing netaudio scene.
Each broadcast showcases an artist/producer/label who provide an exclusive mix for air. Every one of these is made available as MP3 archives. A lot of radio shows stick to one or two music genres, on MANTIS there is no limit to the range of styles of music you're likely to hear during each broadcast.
Featuring every broadcast of the show, plus the MANTIS presents: series (an ongoing collection of live, studio, old and new mixes from our ever growing showcased artists) and DVNT darkfloor mixes, both studio and live recordings.
