I dusted off something I had been hacking on a while back to do with mapping the Mandelbrot set to MIDI notes in a selected mode. Works quite nicely in a sort of robotic bastard child of Terry Riley and Erik Satie kind of way.




I think I've got some work to do to make it work for actual tracks but you can get some quite interesting basslines out if you take small enough parts in low enough octaves.

Purely messrs Mandelbrot and Pythagoras in the driving seat. My only input was a bit of programming.Smile

This is using the same version of the program, over six octaves in Aeolian mode.




Going to rework the program a bit now to make it a bit more controllable musically Smile
